Trails for Travis was created to honor Travis Sauerwald, an outdoor professional, Eagle Scout, and nature enthusiast, who was diagnosed with glioblastoma (GBM) in 2016.

Despite facing a difficult diagnosis, Travis kept “service of others” at the core of his work throughout his treatment. His accomplishments included spearheading efforts which have raised more than $100,000 for brain cancer research (to date) and organizing toy drives for children’s hospitals.

Travis passed away in 2019 but his legacy lives on.
