Trails for Travis was created to honor Travis Sauerwald, an outdoor professional, Eagle Scout, and nature enthusiast, who was diagnosed with glioblastoma (GBM) in 2016.

Despite facing a difficult diagnosis, Travis kept “service of others” at the core of his work throughout his treatment. His accomplishments included spearheading efforts which have raised more than $100,000 for brain cancer research (to date) and organizing toy drives for children’s hospitals.

Travis passed away in 2019 but his legacy lives on. This organization continues Travis’ work to help others through providing opportunities to connect people with nature.
