“Trails for Travis” is a not-for-profit organization which was created to honor Travis Sauerwald, an outdoor professional and nature enthusiast, who was diagnosed with glioblastoma (GBM) in 2016. Despite facing a difficult diagnosis, Travis kept “service of others” at the core of his work throughout his treatment. His accomplishments included spearheading efforts which have raised almost $50,000 for brain cancer research (to date) and organizing toy drives for children’s hospitals. This organization continues Travis’ work to help others through providing opportunities which connect people with nature.
